A SHORT DRIVE AWAY

EMPOLI is a small town with a nice historic pedestrian precinct.  You can find in Empoli some of the best Italian tailors, and one of the best street markets every Thursday morning.

PISTOIA besides being a fine historic town is home to most of Italy’s plant nurseries.  For miles and miles before you reach the town you can see all sorts of plants and flowers growing everywhere.

FLORENCE is a must, and is about 40 minutes’ drive from Olive Tree Suites.

LUCCA is another must, it’s a gem of a city and is not yet been fully discovered by tourists.

PISA has got a leaning tower that’s worth having on a picture!

SAN GIMIGNANO, one hour away, has the highest concentration of historic towers in the World.

SIENA is another dream city.
